The release of Brown’s second book, Raif and Rose: World on Fire, saw Lauren delve into deeper themes and causes near to her heart. Further, Brown’s inclusion of global concerns, like environmental conservation and preservation, equity, and power, highlight her desire to promote public understanding of key issues facing our world. Brown held a special December launch event for this novel at Sister’s Uptown Bookstore in Harlem, New York. Lauren continues to author new literary works, in fiction and poetry.
Lauren has demonstrated a commitment to positive impact through philanthropic causes. A proponent of philanthropic work, Brown has served her community at the local and international level. Brown’s efforts emphasize participation in one’s community, local and global. Accordingly, Lauren gets involved: volunteering at food pantries in her neighborhood and county, spearheading educational partnerships, and supporting international organizations seeking to break cycles of poverty.
